Coaching Culture Program

What is a "Coaching Culture"?

Information is powerful, and the ability to execute well only happens when candid, two-way dialogue occurs between a manager and a direct report consistently. When we focus directly on the needs of each individual, and what they have to accomplish, we know how best to help them be successful in their role.

Coaching conversations between a manager and a direct report need to occur at every level of the organization. Coaching, guiding, and leading sessions are where great questions get asked:

* How do you feel about your work performance and role?

* What do you need to be more successful in this role?

* What can I do as your manager to help you succeed?

* What would help us both improve our relationship?

* What resources or support are we most lacking?

The Center for Creative Leadership sees five types of coaching that can help to drive a “coaching culture:”

1) Coaching in the moment

2) Trained Management coaching

3) Mentoring conversations

4) Team coaching

5) Professional coaching

Businesses and organizations that have the most success executing strategy all have one discipline in common: the ability to manage their people individually through consistent coaching conversations. They're able to personalize the performance of their people.

They know more about the people on their teams, their strengths, weaknesses, and what they're most capable of accomplishing. They know what each team member is passionate about, who they work best with, and where they want to go in their careers.

They know all this because they have invested the time to find out. They now have "actionable intelligence" - information that helps them determine if they have the right people in the right roles, working on the right projects.

People on any team covet direction. They need and want to be coached. They also want autonomy to accomplish their goals and responsibilities once they have that direction.

When the people on your team know their purpose, feel supported, and are committed to what they do, you will find some of the most productive and committed individuals on the planet.

NOTE:  The Coaching Culture program is a customized program to meet your organization's goals and will vary depending on the size and structure of your organization. Set up and appointment now to learn more.
